Life & Change

How fragile and ever changing life is! I've heard a quote once that said something like, "The only constant thing in life is change." How true is that. Come good or bad, our lives can be altered so quickly. I was just telling Brandon last night how blessed we are to have each other, and our children. And if I think about it too much, it scares me sometimes to think what tragedy/tragedies might befall us in the future. I have to quickly throw that thinking out of my mind or else it will make me go crazy, but I am so thankful for my beautiful family. One of my favorite things at the end of each day, right before I go to bed, is tucking my children in, giving them kisses, caressing those soft cheeks, and whispering in those little sleeping ears how much I love them. I like to think even though they are sleeping, their minds are alive and listening to me each night. Then I kneel down and thank my Heavenly Father for another day of safety and protection. I know this is personal, but I really wanted to share one of the most important parts of my day.

I first heard about NieNie Dialogues from Randi's mom Lisa the other day. Now I have seen it on so many blogs speaking out about a woman named Stephanie Nielson from Arizona and her husband. They were in an airplane crash last week. They are both in chemical induced comas and are severely burned. They also say the mom is so severely burned, she will hardly be recognizable when they are finished. It is also said that their treatments will be in the millions before they are done. They're parents to four children, and I can't imagine what they and their family are going thru at this time, but I can share it through the internet. I am going to be gone this next week, so I thought this might be a good post to leave up while I'm away. May we remember them in our prayers.

It's been over a year since I've been able to visit and I am looking forward to seeing some familiar faces, lots of family, and friends!! Not to mention Pasta and Pizza Factory, Cafe Rio, and some other good eats I have been craving. I have been counting down for months.

Adventures with Zoe: Part I

Okay, thanks Kassy for sending Zoe our way. Drake was so excited to open a package from the mailbox and kept saying, "my surprise, my surprise!" For the next week I will be posting our adventures with Zoe the Zebra sent all the way from Alaska. If anyone is interested in spending a week with Zoe email me your address to kelli dot eu @ gmail dot com. I quarantined Zoe for a few days last week while my kids were sick, but all is good now so the adventures can begin :)

First Day of Pre-School

Drake started pre-school today. He was so excited. Where does the time go?

Lost.

This is how we have been spending our nights until 2 am! We have been glued and pasted to the TV series Lost. Brandon and I finished the 1st season in 4 days and there is 24 discs people, and we are almost done with the 2nd. Needless to say I am lacking in the blogging world lately, but I wanted to let Kassy know, I did receive Zoe the Zebra and will be posting some of our adventures with her soon. With that, I am off to be a couch potato for the evening.

To Randi and Chelsea. They share the same day! Hope you both have a wonderful birthday.

Squeaky Clean.

I don't know why I love bath pictures. Maybe it's the brightness, or their cute little naked bodies. I'm sure we soaked until they were prunes today. Oh, and a random pic of Ava.

Are you kidding me?

As I was getting the stroller out my car, I bent down to open it up and yep, my phone falls out of my purse pocket and tumbles 8 feet down into the sewer drains. All I could do was laugh. Thank you maintenance men for saving my phone! I should have my own blog called, "A day in the life of stupid things that Kelli does and says!"
