Is it later today yet? Haven't had a chance to snap a full picture of the bed, but here is one until I do. And- some of Ava, she was so so excited for her new bed. She ran in and hugged it yelling, " I yike it, I yike it.!!"

I heard about this website called KNOCK OFF WOOD from a friend. So, I have to give credit to the awesome plans for the farmhouse bed on her website. Seriously it's awesome and even though I was gung ho about trying to build the bed myself, Brandon pretty much rocks at building stuff, so I can't take any credit for the building now. Maybe a little painting.

He spent hours on this to save us money and it was totally worth it. Poor Brandon and all the projects I have locked in my brain. Here he is hard at work with some of the process. I'll post pics of the final product up in Ava's room later today! It turned out just the way I pictured it to.

Thanks Kari for letting us borrow the electric sander. Seriously, it was a life saver and Ryan for the paint sprayer! Mostly, thanks Brandon!! Ava is super excited for her white bed. Even though originally she wanted us to paint it pink!

Easter Egg Hunt

A good friend set up a big Easter egg hunt last week. The kids had such a great time finding their eggs. They were each marked with their own names. Taya, Drake, & Ava were so cute helping each other out when they'd find one that had the others name on it.
