A day downtown.

Ventured downtown again today and while we were close by, we had to stop at the BEST cupcake place for our daily sugar intake, Happy Cakes. I also found some new favorite spots today as well.

Summertime.

Why is everything so much better with a treat??

Camp Batel: Daughter of God

I was up at girls camp all last week as the YCL Leader. Our stake and about 8 other stakes purchased this land for girls camp. They named it Camp Batel, which stands for "Daughter of God" in Hebrew. It was so beautiful and I had a great time despite the fact I started getting sick on the first night (Monday). By Thursday night I was pretty much done and they sent me home. I got a cold which turned into a sinus infection. I was really sad to miss the last night there, but I'm glad that I was able to go at all. I loved getting to know some of the girls and to feel the spirit that was there. We have some amazing young girls in our stake who will be great leaders of the church someday. The last day I was there, I had some free time. So, I ventured around the camp sites and shot some nature pictures. I am normally a people picture taker, but it was fun to try something different. I was happy to get home to my kiddos. This is the first time I've been away from them over night since Drake was born! I missed them like crazy, but they had a great time hanging out with Grandma Sue and Dad!

Happy Fathers Day.

The calm after the storm...

The thunder/hail storm didn't last too long, but it was coming down pretty hard. But, here's what I am talking about, now it's sunny enough to be outside and blowing bubbles. I actually enjoy thunder and lightning storms. I love all the the thudding of the the rain and grumbling of the thunder. Drake kept running over to me saying, "I am totally scared mom!!." And then he wanted to go outside and stand on the front porch to watch the rain and he grabs my hand and says, "C'mon mom, I promise I won't let the lightning get you!."

Also I love that Ava doesn't get the concept yet that she has to keep the wand away from her mouth to blow bubbles. Thus, I think she ate more bubbles then she blew.

Great bubble blowing Brandon.

Our Crazy Weather

Seriously the past few weeks our weather has been crazy and random. We've had so many thunder & hail storms! One minute it's sunny and warm and the next tornado sirens are blaring! So, today during naps (ahh I love Sundays) we woke up and storm watched out the window to make sure there were no funnel clouds too close.
