Life & Change

How fragile and ever changing life is! I've heard a quote once that said something like, "The only constant thing in life is change." How true is that. Come good or bad, our lives can be altered so quickly. I was just telling Brandon last night how blessed we are to have each other, and our children. And if I think about it too much, it scares me sometimes to think what tragedy/tragedies might befall us in the future. I have to quickly throw that thinking out of my mind or else it will make me go crazy, but I am so thankful for my beautiful family. One of my favorite things at the end of each day, right before I go to bed, is tucking my children in, giving them kisses, caressing those soft cheeks, and whispering in those little sleeping ears how much I love them. I like to think even though they are sleeping, their minds are alive and listening to me each night. Then I kneel down and thank my Heavenly Father for another day of safety and protection. I know this is personal, but I really wanted to share one of the most important parts of my day.

I first heard about NieNie Dialogues from Randi's mom Lisa the other day. Now I have seen it on so many blogs speaking out about a woman named Stephanie Nielson from Arizona and her husband. They were in an airplane crash last week. They are both in chemical induced comas and are severely burned. They also say the mom is so severely burned, she will hardly be recognizable when they are finished. It is also said that their treatments will be in the millions before they are done. They're parents to four children, and I can't imagine what they and their family are going thru at this time, but I can share it through the internet. I am going to be gone this next week, so I thought this might be a good post to leave up while I'm away. May we remember them in our prayers.

I actually know the family that was in the accident. They are from Mesa, and it is a horrible tragedy. The Husband's brother is in our ward, and the children have been staying with them for a while. The children are in Utah now with family. My heart goes out to this incredible family. Thanks for mentioning them on your blog!

I know.. I've visited her blog a few times before the accident, and I'm still in shock to hear that has happened. Such a cute family! So many plane crashes lately.. It's terrible! :(

I know what you mean about trying not to think about things happening to your family/children...I do that all the time. I always think that someone is going to come and kid-nap Jada--I hate it. It's hard to not think about it though, because it happens all around us! Anyways, your kids are so beautiful...and I can't believe how much hair Randi's baby has!
