More Kate...

Konan and Robyn are coming to visit us this weekend, so I finished their cd of pictures to take home with them. Here are a few more of their Kate. She has these BIG dark chocolate eyes that I love. Can't wait to see you guys! We've been tuning up our skills on Rock Band just for you.

Love this one.

These are so funny. I had to share them. It's more common for this to happen when photographing babies. Usually they don't do exactly what you want them to and are a little uncooperative at times. But that's one of the things I love to capture. It's real. It's life. It's everyday.

Homemade Bowling

Drake has been asking to go bowling since I took him while we were in St. George. I saw this idea off of Tutus and Turtles, I think. He's been having fun with it. Ava on the other hand wasn't so fond of it at first. See picture below. Now, she likes it and tries to throw the ball at the cups.

My heart is yours...

Little did I know that when I decided to go into the "mom business" that my heart wouldn't belong to me anymore. I have fallen, not once, but twice in love. I am smitten, head over heels, whooped, whatever you call it. you name it. that is me. I give them my heart and you know what the best part is, they love and adore me. I couldn't ask for more.

Update for my personal satisfaction:

-Drake has decided to do a few new things this past week. My most favorite of all, when I say, "I love you Drake." He responds in the sweetest voice, "I love you mom." He has also taken it upon himself to sleep with no diapers. We are thru completely.

-Ava finally took some steps last week and is on her way to walking. Finally. Shouldn't be much longer til she is off and away, and into new things.

Part II: The Farm

Part Dos of our trek to St. George. Their may be a few more posts all about SG. I figured if I did it in sections with the pictures it'll help me keep it all organized. Here are a few pictures of the kids playing at the farm one morning. So many things to entertain them.

I thought this picture was so classic of my Uncle Jan.

Cousin Hailey would come and play with the kids each morning before she had to go to school. Drake and Sage fell in love with her. She is such a sweet heart.

Jon pulling Sage. Killer boots! Perfect for the farm.

The Trek: Part I, Isabelle & Gisella

This definitely deserves its own post. My uncle had to bring these two chickens up to his house because they were crippled and as you can tell in the pictures, Sage could not get enough of them. She instantly grew quite fond of them. She even named them, hence the title Isabelle and Gisella. She literally sat in the same spot with the chickens in her lap or next to her for 2 hours straight. She was their little mama for the week & made sure they were well taken care of.

Palmer's

All you St. George folk know Konan and Robyn Palmer, so go check out their cute little Kate. Even if you don't. Click here.

White Bed

All right I'm telling you all, grab a white sheet or blanket and place it over your bed. Let that natural light shine in through the windows, and bam instant beautiful photos. Come on try it, you know you want to. Here are a few from yesterday. Aren't they adorable. I'm lovin' that light.

I love this picture of Brandon and Ava. It has to be my favorite of the two of them so far. Ava loves her daddy even though she is a major mama's girl. He makes her laugh like crazy.

Can't resist this little guy in those underwear.

Happy 5 Years.

Remember this SWEET pic? How did Brandon get so lucky? This is what I'm wearing for him tonight. I think he will be stoked. Haha. Here's to 5 years of highs and lows. Brandon and I have thankfully come a long way from the time we took the plunge. We've grown up a little, okay a lot, become better friends, and are still hanging on tight. Brandon has been our glue.

5 things I love about Brandon:

-He will always apologize no matter what, because he wants to make everything all right.
-He is always thinking of things he can do to help me or kids out.
-He genuinely loves me and all of my many silly quirks.
-He is always trying to find ways to improve things about himself he feels are necessary.
-He is a loving father and husband.

Here's to (75) more :)

My Beautiful Sisters

It was so great to be able to spend this last week with my family. I love my sisters so much. They are my best friends, and I am truly blessed to have them as sisters. They both are so genuine, loyal, honest, kind, selfless, loving, supportive, spiritual. These are just a few of their great characteristics. My list could go on, but I think you get my drift. Wish we lived closer, I think I tell you both that every time we talk. But I do.

I am alive.

I feel like I have been gone for way longer than a week, but this week has been crazy already. I haven't had a minute to spare or maybe it's bad time management. Who knows? I've been trying to get some shoots edited to get to the families, not to mention all the fun pictures from the trip I haven't even been able to go thru. But, we had a great time. I got to see some of my favorite people, eat at my favorite spots, and now I think I need a vacation from my vacation. Isn't that how it always is :) I did want to share these pictures of my niece Sage. My cousins have a farm out in Santa Clara and we got to go over there a few times and ride the ponies, milk the cow, chase the goats and chickens. It was pretty fun, and the kids loved it, especially Sage.
