Film is Not Dead

I just registered for this gem. It's a 3 day workshop held in San Francisco this July instructed by one of my favorite photographers Jonathan Canlas. His style is classic, natural, and just down right beautiful. If interested and want to check it out click here.

Also click here to check out this awesome shoot for one of my favorite families!

Image of the Day.

I just wanted to share this picture I came across. I yearn for the beach everyday. What I wouldn't give to live on or by one. And this picture captures just one of the many reasons my heart rests among the ocean and those peaceful sunsets. This photograph was taken by a San Diego based New Born Photographer named Carrie Sandoval. I love checking in on her work. She is inspiring. Not only did this picture stand out to me, but the story to it as well. It didn't go into details, but this little guy passed away 2 days after these shots were taken. My heart sunk with the deepest sorrow for this family I don't even know. But, what a beautiful memory to have forever. To check out more of her work you can click here.

Sunny Day.

A nice warm day outside is such great medicine. We lingered in the warm sun at the park today until it disappeared and settled behind the mountains. Then my feet got cold and it was time to go home. Plus, Wednesdays rock because of Lost.

Ava always talking to Papa whether it's a phone, a cup, her feet.
"HI, Papa. BuBye Papa!"

Somedays.

Why is it somedays you feel
inadequate as a...

a woman,
a mom,
a wife,
a friend,
a human?

What ever it may be.
Somedays your strength is gone and sadness flows in.

Somedays are blue.
Somedays you wish.
Somedays are content.
Somedays are more joyful.
Somedays are lonely.
Somedays you feel small.
Somedays inspired.
Somedays you crash.
Then you pick up the pieces.

I guess that's why it's so important to find joy in the small and simple things. On days like these I try to let Gratitude engulf my sorrow, because Gratitude is everything. Gratitude is joy. Gratitude is humbling. Gratitude is Godlike. So, today be Grateful.

Snow fall.

These pictures were from a few weeks ago when it snowed. The kids and I had been trapped inside due to being sick, so we bundled them up and let them outside for a little bit. Ava's eyes wouldn't stop watering and Drake helped Dad build a snow cave.
