my mother.

There are far too many good words  I could express for my mom today.  But I will keep it simple and to the point.  Happy 56 years mom.  It is a blessing to have been able to celebrate the last 21 years of your life, which you have graciously and selflessly devoted to your children and our Heavenly Father.  I know you don't feel that you are anything to talk about, but more than anyone I know you have been a rock for us and many people who have met you.  I have seen you in the darkest times, asking "why?" and praying for strength to continue moving forward.  Your continuous faith has proven itself through these tough years, as a higher power has helped lift a burden you bear in this life.  Thank you for your laughter, your humor, your undying, devoted, and unconditional love for us.  Thank you for the spirit you carry with you.  I can see it in your eyes and have felt it continually through out my life.  Thank you for "seeing" me and loving me.  "From darkness to light," will be your joy.  We too, rejoice in that day.  I love you mom, Happy Birthday.

"As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.
When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay,
And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam. He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing."

Thanks to those of you who left a sweet comment. I had to redo some of this post, and it deleted them. But they were very sweet, so thank you.

Wow Kelli... that was beautiful, what perfect words to describe such an amazing woman! That pic at the top took me back to memories in Page when we were kids and all the fun stories your mom would share with us when she was young! What great childhood memories we have... and now we are the parents. Crazy how time flies!

Kelli-
Such a great tribute to your mom.. I still remember a talk that you gave in our college ward ( like 5 years ago) about your mom.. I remember thinking "Wow she sounds like an amazing person, and her daughter is awesome too! :)
