Happy Cakes here we come or not...

I decided to take the kids to Happy Cakes today just to get out of the house for a little while, so we ventured out of our bubble and into downtown. Unfortunately, it is closed on Mondays. Yay, for us. Guess I should have checked that out when I went on their website to get the address. I just assumed and we all know what that does, right? So a by-passer filled me in on what was good around those parts and told me Monday is a common day for these shops to be closed. Luckily not all were closed, so she led us next door to a little cafe. Instead of cupcakes, we tried their HOMEMADE ice cream sandwiches. Quite delicious.

PS. Just for the record, pet peeve: I hate uploading pictures on blogger. It's so slow most of the time. Also for the record, yes we ate dessert before lunch :)






Ava had to get in on the fun. She poked that cute face over just in time. She was great as always sitting happily in her stroller. Don't worry she didn't miss out on the ice cream.



Does Drake make this look good or what? Well, I can actually speak for myself, they were fantastic considering we were hoping for some yummy cupcakes.




After we finished our HOMEMADE ice cream sandwiches, we headed off down the streets to explore. Loved the style of little boutiques up and down each side of the street. Anyone who was riding a bike had those awesome old-fashioned bikes I love. It was an older part of town, but all the stores were pretty pricey, so we just browsed and window shopped. Another classic car parked on the side of the road, as you all know I love, so I had to snap a picture of it, and then just some random things we saw as we were walking and enjoying the sunny weather. I just wanted to be outside today and we had a great time.
