Where's baby?

This is what I walked into when I went to get Callie up from her nap. Courtesy of Drake.

Erin's baby shower.

Erin's friends Darly & Annie threw her a baby shower in St. George this last weekend. It was all safari themed and turned out really cute. I really can't believe my baby sister is going to be a mom! I'm so excited for her and Kyle. They are going to make some awesome parents.

Olivia's cake.

My little niece Olivia turned 1 a few days ago. I wasn't able to make the party on Saturday because I had my sister's baby shower in St. George to go to. But I made the cake and cupcakes before I left. Here is the finished product.

Mother's Day

This is what I woke up to on Mother's Day morning! I love being a mom, and I really couldn't ask for anything more important then the 3 little ones I've been blessed to take care of.

Strawberry Puffcakes.

These were delicious! Homemade chocolate cupcakes with fresh strawberry buttercream frosting dipped in chocolate. Could it get any better! I got the recipe from here. The girl who ate everything. It's my go to food blog. Check it out.

My boy.

The other day I got you all registered for Kindergarten. That night, I went to bed with an anxiety/panic attack. Maybe it's just because you are my first. I'm so excited for you and it's so awesome watching you grow up and become independent, but there is this other part of me that is scared to death. I'm partly in control right now. You are with me ALL the time and soon I have to let you out there into this big scary world. It's so bitter sweet. You are a wonderful little boy and I know you will do great things.

Last May 2010 you said to dad and me,

"I want Jesus to come to my house while I'm still little."

"You do?"

"That would be cool huh?! Daddy, do you have Jesus on your phone? I'll just say in my prayers, Jesus may you please come over.
I wish we could just call him on the phone so he can come play with me."

Let me tell you son,
He will always be there for you.
If you seek him.
He listens to you.
He knows you.
He loves you.
He died for you.
I hope you try your best to live worthily for those blessings in your life.
You are a special boy and I am so blessed to call you my son.

Easter.

"It is the celestial glory that we seek. It is in the presence of God that we desire to dwell. It is a forever family in which we want membership." -Thomas S. Monson

Family really is what matters most. It's what brings me strength and hope. It is why I strive to live worthily of being with them forever. One of the many reasons I am truly grateful to my Savior, who made that possible.

It was so bright outside. We kept telling Drake to count to 3 and then open his eyes. He kept holding up his hand to do it.

Spring Sunshine!

We've finally had some warmer days in the last week and we have definitely been taking advantage of it. Drake already has a good farmer's tan/sunburn on his forearms from riding his bike for hours on end. We have a park out it front of our house and the neighbor kids flock to it on those warm days. It's been so nice and refreshing to get out of the house for longer periods of time. I'm getting so excited for summer, sno cones (literally in walking distance) which will probably end up being an every day occurance, and going to the pool!

Callie. 8 months.

My serious baby. I don't know if I've caught a picture of you smiling yet! But you are so sweet and good, and so cuddly. I love every inch of you.

You have grown so much over the past month. Here are a few milestones to remember that you have reached over the last few weeks:

You got your first tooth.
You are grasping things to eat with those cute little fingers. Which I love to watch. You get so focused on it.
You are getting up on your hands and knees like you're almost ready to take off.
I'm completely content with you rolling around and sitting in one spot for now!
You are so excited every time your dad walks into the room. You love him.
You are giving kisses. Which means you lean in and slobber on our faces.
You are saying "mama."
You love to play peek-a-boo.
You get so calm when I sing to you.

Spring Break

We ventured out to Colorado for their spring break. Despite my kids getting sick, we definitely had a great time. Drake and Ava loved hanging out with their cousins all week and seeing some old friends! Thanks again Aaron and Randi for letting us invade your house with our chaos.
